Private Groups: Walk a Beach with Mike

• I invite groups of various sizes to contact me to arrange:
•  Beach Clean-ups!  A great community or school opportunity to learn plus help the environment. These would also be official Adopt-A-Beach events, via the Alliance for Great Lakes, yet can be kept private to your group. Mike is an official Ambassador for the Alliance for Great Lakes as well! 
• Official Leave No Trace education (1 or more  session-based). Mike is a certified instructor for LNT, so participants can earn an official certificate of completion. Sea Michigan is now proudly a Leave No Trace Community Partner too.  
• private walk-a-beach experiences
• Dune Interpretation Walks :Currently specifically done at Muskegon State Park, yet these can be arranged at other locations too.  
•  other special interest events!  We can co-create a unique experience for your group.   
•  Rock hunting  (see home school photo at left)
•   Vernal Pool Patrol experiences (start in spring/finish with one trip in the fall). Great for all ages. 
• Private Lighthouse tour in Muskegon!  
• Water / shoreline safety 
• A variety of environment-related topics.

MI Green Schools especially welcome!!!

This is a great opportunity for organizations’ teams, departments, special interest or environment groups, schools, etc. to have a fun and learning outdoor experience together, via a place-based setting.  Learn more about the history of a shoreline area, ecosystems, environmental protection factors, history, and just enjoy the beach and splash in the water along the way! This is a unique team-building opportunity, support  for special interests, or serve as a reward for sales team accomplishments as well!    

This is a modest fee-based experience, and customized to your group’s specific needs.  Consider purchasing Sea Michigan apparel at a discount to go along with the day! For 2026, this will mostly include beaches in southwest Michigan, so basically Muskegon southward.  (other destinations may be an option).  Consider also, if the group would like to partake in additional activities such boat/ship sailings, adventure parks, historical societies, maritime or other museums, etc.

I also can do various presentations or serve on a panel at your organization's events, conferences, learning efforts.
